Is that your internet connection or did figure out how to ping this server?

here is my regular ping... which why I asked.

That's my regular internet connection. My ping rate is so high, is there a way to lower it. I have 1.5mbps DSL from AT&T/SBC. My connection is super-slow compared to you guys.

I originally posted to see if this was a common problem and if anyone knew how to speed things up. But since everyone else here is posting their speed test results, here's mine. Not too shabby.

I figured that since that is the closest server to my location that was the one I should go with ... Here is the recommended location:

As you can see, not much different

418 Down???? Ouch. Try testing on speakeasy.net, that's my site of choice (for whatever it is worth). The site seems to load slow at times, it's pretty hit or miss for me, and I am pulling 20MB down on my connection. I captured packets to see if it's a problem on my end, or with the TCP connection (possible win 0's being thrown), but everything checks out fine, so it is definitely the site.

I don't think it would matter much since he's deployed over in the Middle East, but hey at least he can still get online :P

Here's mine using the recommended test server:

Yep, it's slow again. In fact, it seems slower now than it did before.
