Sorry, I hate to get in on the HiJack as well but It could be industrial 2 sided tape. I used a double sided foam tape on my motorcycle for my flush mounts and through all the racing and stunting they never once moved in 3 years. This was in Hawaii too so I got rained on almost daily. That stuff is serious business and could very well hold up to the off road abuse.

sorry been a little MIA on this topic. Been trying to deal with the new dog making a mess in the house when i get home, whenever I leave I come home to a new surprise, so its been hard to get out.

Tomo after work I'm gonna go pick up a set of Hella's and mount them on the multi-mount brackets, take pics and post them up. The style bracketry the hella's use will work best with these mounts. Larger off-road lights with the "bell" style mounts are a bit too big. they can be used, but won't look the best.

Ok here are the pics, showing most positions you can mount the light...but pretty much 360 horizontal and vertical...whatever tickles your fancy.

just a note: the mounting bolts were not cut specific for this diameter tube, I cut the mounting bolts so they fit flush or +2 threads specific to your application.

oh, and this was done in my stairwell on the handrail since I didn't have a test rig, but its the same thing really.

Those are wire clamps, they will stretch and break after awhile with that much stress on them.
