The #2 setting on my speed control for the heater blower stopped working.
Is this liable to be the switch or does the liberty use the resistor block in the duct work?
If it has the resistor block does anyone know where it is?
Thanks,

Available at any Napa Auto Parts. The part # is BR256 and is about $20. It's behind the glove compartment. I used the instructions found on the link "Sleeve84028" posted prior to mine. :D

I have a different problem on my 2003, all speed 1,2 and 3 work fine, but not the speed 4. It's happend this winter, one morning I start my jeep at -35°C and the fan was left on the speed 4...bang no more speed 4.

Anybody have the same problem???

Thanks for the help, $16.05 later and 15 minutes in the driveway
and all is well. I would have replyed sooner but we had a "dress rehearsal"
on the new family member arriving. It turned into a false alarm but she
should be arriving any day now !!

Thanks,
Mike G.

Zappa, Same fix for your problem. Replace the resistor block-couldn't be easier. It just sucks that DCX never fixed this issue, all years appear to be susceptible to the failure.

$22 from the dealer and 10 minutes in the driveway and now my #1 is working again! Gotta love this site. The $85 saved on the labor gets to go in my lift fund! 8)

Just did the same to my '04 last weekend. 15 minutes, taking my time and not knowing what to expect. 5 minute job at most.
