Is that the bumper troy is talking about?
Yes that is going to be the basic design, granted that is a XJ bumber so it will be wider and will not have the reciever in it.

Is that enough approach angle for you? It will only sit about 2" from the front unibody crossmember.

Not sure if I like the look of it too be honest. Yeah, I'm picky. I am sure I'll like it more when I see a finished product though. Hard to tell what a nice finished version will be. Is it going to have the square lights instead of round? Not a fan of any square lights on a jeep. The approach angle is fine I guess but has he figured out what to do about the stock turn signals? Are they going to be surrounded in metal like the Sundance Rockstar ones? Don't need the reciever if I got them shackles. :D

my 2 cents...
i agree... no square lights!!! i know it's harder and more expensive to have round lights, but one set would be perfect!
also, i would rather have a receiver than shackles, just incase you need to run that winch on there.

That's what the convertable winch bumber is for.To add a reciever to the high clearance bumber you would loose alot of approach angle and clearance due to having move the bumber about 4"-5" farther out due to the front crossmember being right there also, then adding to the cost.

chop up your bumper like Fulltimer did his looks great! and longer bolts wont help you, and what do you mean by stronger bolts?? you should not be using that hitch if you do not have Grade 8 bolts.

I'd like one but withour the winch mount.
Everytime someone comes up with a bumper for the KJ the price is always over $600

Steel ain't cheap, neither is someones time to cutout and assemble the darn things, let alone the time it takes to design one in the first place.

I understand steel is not cheap and only mass production would bring a bumper to a reasonable price. But we get people promising that the bumper price is going to be $xxx.xx then the price goes up or they are not able to deliver on their dates.

I would love to get a front bumper for the KJ but show me a place where I can order one at a reasonable price and not have to wait months for it.
