Jeep's been at the dealer for the past week due to a clutch noise. It's especially noticeable during slow engagement/disengagement of the clutch (pedal), which causes a rubbing or non-metallic-type grinding sound as the pedal is pushed in and released out. You can tell it's not in the clutch itself, but rather the pedal linkage or hydraulic system. The clutch master cylinder was replaced this morning and it's still making noise. They can't seem to figure it out and they are obviously going to keep it there until they do. Just wondering if anyone with a 6-speed has noticed this and what they found to have caused and remedied it.

Have the same thing, sound like a squeek every time you push the clutch, found out that it only occurs after driving through deep water or when there is a lot of surface water on the road ( when it comes over the bonnet, hood for you guys),also found out that a bit of WD-40 on the top part of the clutch pedal helps.

Same problem with mine. Was even more noisy first thing in the morning when cold. Turned out to be the throw out bearing. Warranty.

edit: mine's an '03 w/ 5 speed btw.
