Update:

A few months after receiving the RC1 tune we began to experience the dreaded transmission shudder and other associated TC problems, thus we subsequently had the TC replaced under the DC warranty. The TC may have been on its way out before the RC1 tune and the upgraded programming may have just helped it along, can't determine for sure.

$tealership was less than helpful with history on vehicle but I did find out that this is the 2nd TC replaced under warranty for our vehicle. Former owner had the TC replaced in the first year of ownership. I now have a castrated TCU for sure.

I'll be looking into the Suncoast TC, new pump and Transgo reprogramming kit along with a transmission cooler upgrade before moving up to a RC level 2 tune. We have 20,000 left on the DC 7/70 powertrain warranty so I'm not in any hurry to upgrade right now. However if the TC starts to go again, I may just say f__k it and have the local tranny shop swap in the Suncoast TC and Transgo kit instead of allowing the DC hacks to touch it again!
