i've seen a chain break... not pretty. :shock:
i've broken 2 straps and would break hundreds more before I want to see another chain break...

the reason I like straps is that they will break before anything gets dangerous. a chain could rip a hook right out if your not careful.

ShadE we will have to get together for a run sometime as I am from stillwater and you are in Duluth. Chains and straps break the same, I would rather break a strap then a chain for my safety and my rigs. I don't like flying chunks of metal hitting me or anyone else. Yes I have use good chains meant for towing and recovery, a strap is a much better and safer alternative that gives you the same results as a chain.
