Somewhere there is a thread on here about how to darken the tail lights. Anyone know where it is?

yep just go get some VHT Nite Shades and paint them,(small can is enough to do tails, upper brake, front turns) , lasts a long time, mines been done with it for 4 years almost now, I wax mine everytime I do the KJ and keeps them shiny and dark. You can spray on light coats until you get the darkness you want

Just make sure you do light coats, don't try to get it as dark as you want the first time. You can also get the transparent black at a hobby store, hit it in many coats.

I did my taillights, front turns and upper brake light over 100,000 miles ago and never had any problems, BUT why would you want to do your headlights???????????

Im not sure if I will do the headlights yet, but I bedlined the beltline down including bumpers, fender flares and the grille and I was thinking it might look good if the headlights were tinted a little

If it didn't cut down the light much I don't see where it would be a problem.

Oh Certainly. Depends on the color of your KJ though. Like if you had a bright red KJ I'd want to keep the bright red '02-04 lenses.

Ya. I went from this stock...

to this...

Oh, don't worry about the fender and bumper, they pop right back... here's the after shot:

And in case you were wondering why I backed into that rock? It was to get off the tree that jumped out at me and did this!

So much for the trail guide's line on that one!
First time in 6 years of wheeling that I did body damage! I think it'll buff right out.
