Well, I just got off the phone with Tellico4x4.com and they won't have the DTT in for 30-60 days. It is around $380 shipped there. I guess I'll be waiting for the front locker, gears and I may even wait to see what happens with the Aussie in 4 weeks. There goes Deer Valley for this year. Image

$388.98 to my door as well and the email conf. says it will ship in 1-8 days. :D

Thanks Jeremy.

Talked to Rocky Road about the Powertrax and they said they are out and that they would have to drop ship it from Powertrax back East and it would take 3-4 weeks. With Rocky Roads questionable customer service I passed on ordering it from them and went looking for it somewhere else. Checked at 4wd.com and they said they are out of them until the end of October. They even said that they sold so few of them that they may not make them any more????? I have gone through 5 pages of pn 92-0382-2905 on google and either they don't have it in stock or they want like $470 for it. Checked 4wheelparts and they have it online and they have 10% off until tomorrow. The total shipped to my door was $436.85. It was cheaper but they stuck me with sales tax. So in the end it was more than RRO but it will be here before the weekend.

So front and rear lockers for $825.83. Not too shabby I think. Cheaper than one ARB would have run me.

Bummer news though. We got the bill for our babies coming the end of the year. Say bye bye to gears. Little buggers aren't even here yet and they are draining the jeep funds. :P Life goes on.

I only checked at Reider Racing for gears. I haven't seen them anywhere for cheaper other than ebay. I'm not too crazy about ebay vehicle related purchases. Been burned before. I may still be abe to swing the gears, but I doubt it. Unless someone finds them for really cheap, myself included, I don't see them in the very near future for my KJ.

ok I just called Rieder Racing and for 4.10 gears for the D30a are $216 so the same as Trailquest and the overhaul for the 8.25 is $97 and Overhaul for the D30a is $94 and I think both overhauls were both made by Precsion Gear, the D30a for sure

and Im waiting on Trailquest to call me back to see if they have the 4.10 gears for the front in stock

Mike did you paying shipping? I didn't pay sales tax (you must have a store in NV?), the closest store to me is Indianapolis.

Anyway, here's how it broke down for me.

$478.99
-47.90 (10% off)
$23.95 UPS Ground
$455.04

Btw, the web site @ Jegs said 12-19 days. My email conf said 2 - 4 days. I know from past experience UPS Ground ships in my region (IL, MO, IA, WI, MI, IN, OH & KY) in 2 days. So I'm guessing 3 days?

Oh and when I reported the price @ Jaws Gears, come to find out they didn't actually have the item in stock, which is why I went to 4wheelparts.

Oh and as for Troy's list, that should either be updated or removed altogether.

wow just had a thought ...I will have 3 front diffs in my garage as soon as I pick up the one that will end up in mine, life is good
need a bigger garage, 2 car is not big enough anymore

I'll have my powertrax by Friday I think and then maybe by next Friday the DTT. I did pay shipping and tax but not sure how much. It is coming from Stockton so it couldn't have been much to get to Reno.

Still deciding on gears.

plus the gas savings! when I did my math I also figured up how much Ill be saving a year continuing my 13K miles per year and I would save anywhere from $500-800 per year depending on the MPGs

but you know what...she can only kill you one time, and most women do not want to kill their man they would rather make their life a living he77 than kill him
and she is going to need all this baby stuff, so this is the tradeoff

I am sure others can come up with more excuses

I just sat down tonight to show my wife what I will save by doing all the swapping around , half way through she said I don't really understand and it seems like it makes sense so go for it!
