I should be able to make it. Time will tell. Ya i ditched the CRD (Tranny was starting to slip, LBJ were going bad, cracked a glow plug causing the engine to run rough, replaced the tensioner pulley like 3 times, it was time to let her go.. =D So for the trip, ill dress my jeep up like a sliver Toyota Tacoma, then ill leave the costume on permanently. =D

Count us in! Camping Saturday, maybe Friday night too. Is it worth trying to get the group camp site?

Count me in as a tentative. I am planning on camping but it depends on the agenda. Anyone in the Phoenix area interested in leaving as a group? Let me know and we can meet somewhere down the road.

Carlos

Hoping I can make it up there but we'll see.

We're waiting on the details also. Here's a previous post from Vern on the subject.

We're going to do a pre-run the weekend before if not earlier. We will post up details after that. At this point the basic plan is ghost towns and easy trails saturday then camp at Cochise stronghold saturday night for the chili fest

Vern... is anyone setting up camp on Friday? If so, we'd like to stop by and drop off our pot of chili and cornbread so it doesn't have to slosh around all day Saturday in the back of the Liberty.

Thanks
AJ

AJ, I should be getting up there mid afternoon on friday. I'll watch it for you... cant guarantee that it'll be there saturday night though. lol

As Vern said, we're going to do a pre-run tonight/ tomorrow. Tentatively the plans are to show up at camp/ hotels on Friday. Directions (map) can be found in earlier posts. I'm going to stop at the Forest Service and see about reserving the group site. Nothing is planned for dinner, on your own.

Saturday morning we'll meet up most likely around 8:30 am. Take off at 9:00. Do some 'esplorin. We can either have lunch on the trail or stop in Tombstone.

Saturday night is the chili pot luck. Plan is everybody bring enough chili for your party.

Like Vern said,we'll post more when we get it figured out this weekend.

Okay... we slaved all day over a hot stove and our 3 lb pot of Tex-Mex style chili has been made. It'll age a day in the fridge before we freeze it. We're also bringing some cornbread to go along with it. Now we're just waiting on the plan as to were we'll meet etc.

Oh, and Mike... thanks for the offer to keep our pot of chile overnight, but on second thought, we'll just keep it with us.... :P

Mmmmmmmmmm good!!!

Darn!! worth a try. I'll bring plenty of condiments for the chili, ie sour cream, cheese, crackers. If somebody wants to handle spoons and bowls. Stay tune for teaser pics tonight. Vern is going to start a thread with all info for this. We had a great time scouting out the trails. Easy fun trip, great sites to see. We were even able to stop in for Helldarodo Days in Tombstone.
