I received this today in my e-mail.

Hello,

My name is Andrew,
First off. I have been given the rights to the bumper design Jason has come up with.As well as all order information.I have the started bumper's, and the info for 2 that I believe are at the paint shop. I can get pics of the bumpers I have to show that they are started and so we can be up front and honest in time frame to get them to you.
The only request is that I fill the orders already placed.

He has had terrible personal troubles fall on him,and he has asked that I dont discuss this with anyone. It was asked that I appologize for the dissapointment and frustration that was caused by this.

I was not given any funds with this so I hope you will decide to let me fill your order, instead of the alternative.
I will give you a deadline of the end of October to have your bumper finished.I will provide weekly emails and pics if you choose so you can see the progress.

I have not read any of the emails you have sent to this account,I dont want to get in the middle of what you have to say to him. I just hope you can give me the chance to gain your business and trust.
I will be changing the name under my own business so animosity is not carried over with the name. So the bumper you will recieve will not have the SC on the side for the marker light. It will just be a circle. And after these orders are filled there will be some changes to the lights as well, I will be using a long oval with a chrome bezel instead of the factory lights,They are very time consuming. The ovals are not.If you would rather have the ovals I can send you a pic of them.Otherwise you will get it how you ordered it.

Please just respond to this here at this address as I will use this until I can change the weblite and other things.

Thanks for your time.
Andrew

This should be interesting. Lots of typo's in the message! Hopefully he's not just stringing you along...

did he give you a last name or just "Andrew"? I don't want it posted here, I was just curious.

No last name given. No other information as to who he is or where he is. His idea of a chrome piece is kind of dumb! It would look out of place and rust. The center cups on my Soft 8's are already rusted and they aren't very old. I do have a lot of salt air here though.

Jason told me a month ago that he found an investor to help in the business. I didn't want to say anything hoping that Jason would chime in.

He also told me that the bumpers were done and just needed painting. That was a month ago.

That is what it sounds like. But...
It's a great looking bumper for those who paid for one hope you get it. I'll sit back & see what happens.

It does sound like a Bunch of BS but on the other hand the authorities ahve already been contacted so their investigation will go forth and if it is a legit hand off of business than they will find that out. On the other hand it is a rockin bumper and we can always look at it positve and hope that this Andrew is serious about producing some of these..

I hope those that paid get theirs atleast

Maybe it would be a good idea to let “Andrew” know about LOST, so he can give everyone an update on their orders and possible feature business with us/LOST.

I too will be following closely mainly because there are really no other option other than ARB for a front bumper.

"Andrew" supposedly is taking over everything for Jason. Including the web page. There is a link to L.O.S.T. on the web page so he should be aware of us.

If "Andrew " is taking over everything and knows who gets bumpers (all LOST members) I am sure that he knows, I agree with Terry on that. I keep wondering "Is there really an Andrew ? "

I really hope you all get your bumpers now, but I am sure I am not the only one who has a real strange feeling about it all.

Ask "Andrew" for his full name, phone number, and address. Then verify all three.

Hey Guys,

I normally try to stay off this one... but this is actually a pretty common thing. Lots of guys have the skill to bend up and/or weld up a bumper for their car.
They post it up on a forum or three... Jeeps, Toyota's, Rovers etc. People like em, "Where'd you get it?" emails roll in and the next thing you know, dude is taking deposits for orders.

Thing is, it's not his full time gig. Probably used his day job's company equipment to make it after hours. We fire people for that, BTW. Anyway, the lesson here is: Get a business license number from the guy/vendor. If it's not a full time thing for him, if it's a residential address... run. We've even had people ask us to make bumpers for them off their designs... we say sure... but you need to buy 100 of them. That's about how many you need to make to make a jig run profitable, BTW.

Guys like Marty can tell you... fabbing is easy. Production is a royal pain, though. And we all know Marty is a stand up, full timer guy. Look at the issues he's had.

Either way, I hope you guys get some restitution.

Good luck,

wouldn't have hurt so bad if he did just take a deposit but it seems he got the full price up front which is where the hurt is really being felt. :(
