Dimming gauges

I am installing gauges and want to know if I can tap into the dimming wires for my dash and where they are.

I posted this in the wiring section too... But I rarely check there for anything

The dash light dimmer wire is orange with brown strip. There are 6 wires going to under dash junction block in plug C1 terminal 4, 5, 10 and 11 in plug C2 terminal 20 and 21. You can also get at the wires at the shifter light, radio, hazard switch and a/c heater control.

My gauges were retarded and wanted 24v to dim and 12v to be bright.

Useless unless you're a truck driver

just re read that.... the orange brown stripe wire is the one i want to tap into?
