The 4x4 Ranger in the background couldn't get me out. It took a Come-A-Long and a lot of muscle to get me out of this hole.

Just as we (LOST Rockies-Colorado) finished a trail and were heading back down, we saw this Jeep stuck in a frozen pond. Can't get much more stuck than this. If all of the ice around his Jeep had broken, the Jeep would have been nearly completely submerged. Not sure how they got it out. We didn't stay to find out, but this pond was on private property and shows another reason not to go off trail.

Oh yea, that = me with a wet vac and towels and 3 hours sucking up water, removing the driver seat and pulling up half the carpet to get all the water out from under it.

It had just happened when we got there. All the parts that look like they are missing are actually under the ice.

no way teckman02. I have the same color jeep and got stock when stock exactly like that with the water level at about the same. Thankfully I never got any water in my jeep but I did end up sitting there for about an hour or so.
i had to ask because i did this in my jeep.... i posted this post on jeepkj.com i saw that a guy did about the same thing that i did and thought to share it with you all to
Image

Im my defense I consider these pics to be prior to the actual birth of my liberty.
i did the same thing but mine was 3 days old. but i did not have anyone to tow me out at first...... i live in piqua ohio and i wanted to see what my jeep could do. so i drove down this gravel road outside of sidney called smalley.... a little ways down i see this hole off the road that other people had gone through so i thought i would give it a try.... first i did the smart thing was to check how deep it wasw ..... saw that is was not too deep so i went for it, i am almost out and i get stuck..... i ended up bottoming out so i try and find some big rocks to use to get some grip off of and get out of the mud. i go and try and get back in my liberty, the doors are locked and the car is idling with my cell phone in the car... so i ended up walking a little over a mile to some house and saw a guy working in his garage. i asked him if he had a chane to tow me out and by chance knew how to slim jim a door took 10 min to slim the door and no effert to pull me out he maybe had to pull me less than a foot and i drove it out on my own power...... i spent about 20 min. soping out the water on my passenger side of the jeep, then to the car wash to suck out most of the water.... the next day i took it to a friends place that works on jeeps and other chrysler cars for a living...took out all the seats and the carpet sprayed off both sides of the carpet and let it sit out in the sun the rest of that day and in his garage gor a few days to fry out ...

would i do it again YES in a heart beet but next time go a little faster and have a tow car just in case
