Lately I have been noticing that it takes alot more pressure on the brake pedal to hold the car at a stop light to and keep the Jeep from creeping forward. My braking seems fine so I am wondering if this is a sign of some transmission issue. Do ATs have clutch plates? I had the tranny serviced at 60k and otherwise have had no tranny issues of note.

I am coming up on the end of my powertrain warranty at 70k so if there is something that needs to be done I want to try to get it in under wararnty.

The first thing I did when I had that happening was to check the front brake pads and the rotors and found that both were completely worn down. That was at around 70k the rotors were so worn that they could not even be turned so I replaced the front rotors and the pads and the bushing kit for the rotors those are the parts that the pads rest on so when the brakes are applied they slide on these smooth metal plates and the kit has new rubber seals that cover the caliper bolts the kit only cost $6.49 and it got rid of the squeal when coming to a stop even with the new ceramic pads. I also changed the rear pads since they were worn out. The last thing to do with new brakes is to change the brake fluid to DOT 4 which has a higher boiling point than the DOT 3. I have a 10 year old daughter which is good at pumping the brake pedal while I open the bleeder screws to change the fluid.

Reduced vacuum at the booster would be a third possibility.
