So do we have the times and meet-up places set? I'll be leaving from Richmond, and may have some friends coming along in their wrangler. How many are planning on camping? I can camp but need to know so I can line up a dog sitter

kvenner: I am coming back home that night but I will probably be back up the next day if people still want to wheel. You want to convoy up? For yall, it would be as simple as getting on 288 north and taking 64 to Oilville.

Works for me... What time? I won't know about camping untill i get in touch with the other couple coming. If they don't come, we'll probably stay the night. But my family will definitely be there

I figure it will take the VA Beach guys 2 hours to get here. Say 9-9:30 meet-up? I have to double check my scheduling as I may only be able to make it for Sunday.

FYI... Checked the NOAA site for the weather report:

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33. West wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40.

Little too cold for the wife. What hotel/motel would you stay at if you don't camp?

I haven't ever had the need to check out hotels in the area. I have friends who attend JMU that I can crash at. I think you will get the best selections in Harrisonburg.

Unfortunately, I can only make the Sunday trip (If anyone is still planning to wheel that day!). Saturday has just become too busy for me. Let me know if there are at least 2 other Jeeps wanting to wheel Sunday. Sorry guys. :(

Here are some pics from a couple of weekends ago when we went to Harrisonburg portion of GWNF

Group shot from first day:

That is all I have for day one here are day 2 photos

Most of the second day was a lot of mud puddles with about 2 in of ice on them that we broke through, took video on them, and trying to upload them to host them.

I got stuck once High centered, and then the grey XJ got stuck once also.

It was a blast driving up the river bed and found some beutiful places to camp and for pics. The guy that was taking pictures ended up using a photo card from spain so we are having issue pulling the pics off the card.

Hope you enjoy the pics.
