Does the transgo shift kit up the line pressure in lockup? Is this what the resistor included is for? I've debated about having one installed, but would definitely do it if the kit will improve lockup as well.

Yes, but only if you remove the transmission and installed the updated springs in the front pump. You have to remove the front pump to do that but you should replace the front pump if your there for the torque converter replacement anyway.
