Removing the linings won't solve where I rub in front. See my pic above.

I rub alot in the front and rear. I run wtih Cragar soft 8's (16x7) with bfg mt's 245/75/16. The weight difference is HUGE and it takes quite a bit of time getting used to the 30% more distance required to stop.
I'm running 16x7 Cragars with 4" BSa and 245/75/16 MTRs and only have the rubbing show above. I haven't noticed any change in braking either. It's not that much extra weight. (Now, putting 32x11.5s on my XJ, that's a different story, brake-wise.)
