How SLOW are you driving on 64?!?! It takes me 2 hours at MAX to get to the Union Springs trails at GWNF (Harrisonburg, VA). Most of the MD guys are used to Union Springs. A stock KJ will have NO issues getting through these trails. If you do, my 35's will get you through it! 8)

With three or four rigs, from Richmond, and with wives and kids, it take three hours. :!:

I still thinking of going, it all depends on which location. For me it takes 5 hours to get to GWNF, 3 hours to Shoe Creek. However, don't let me sway your choices one way or the other. On Jan 2nd I'm heading to Myrtle Beach so I might not end up wheeling on the 1st.

Can anyone take along some passengers? I might have a guy shooting some video, and one of my freinds wants to bring his parents and kids.

Should kept the KJ.It'd be paid for now wouldn't it?

Yes it would. But I don't think this would just buff out:

If there are enough MD jeeps maybe split the runs... you lower VA guys to shoe creek and the MD guys to Greenridge. Greenridge is great for stockers!!

I think this is the best idea. So I'm going to say we go to Shoe Creek, unless its really icy, then we do Big Levels. I have two other rigs from Richmond committed to going. Anyone else who wants to go for sure, please post up. We'll plan meeting at the Sheetz at RT 250 and RT 288. about 8:00 am.

I dont recall how this accident happened but it looks like you got t-boned?? I have always wondered if the rock rails would help out in that situation where a low sitting car hit the side of the KJ... was that factor in this incident and if so, do you think the rock rails provided any additional protection ?

Actually I think it was something along the lines of his wife was driving down the road less than 5 minutes from home and for some reason that I forget she rolled it.

Yeah the wife rolled it. This picture was after they got it back on the wheels, it actually landed on the driver's side. I think the rock rails and the (All J's)transmission skid I had combined to reinforce the bottom of the Jeep to keep it from crumpling in this incident. Here is a pic of the rail where the braces that attach to the frame bent from the impact.

No, I can find that.

Somewhere close to the trailhead, that he can put into his Garmin.

I don't have an address. Here are the coordinates for start of the the trail. Its at the bottom, at the end of Perkins Mill Road.

37.79017, -79.12101

He could also meet us at the Liberty service station in Lovingston, right on rt29. I'll need to stop there anyway to top off.
