I found these and thought that a lot of you would be very interested in buying some because you could easily carry 4 of them in a roof rack with no problems at all. http://exp-one.com/Geri_intro.htm

That is so cool! Though I would never stack them lying down.

cant buy them in ohio due to environmental laws. there are new laws coming into place in 09 for fuel cans so a lot of the nice cans you wont be able to get anymore.

TokyoJoe, the specifications say then can support up to 800lbs of gear stacked on them so I think they should be good to stack at least 3 high if you could create a way to keep them lined up, maybe ratchet straps through the hand holds.

I don't think that was his concern - laying them down they would be more likely to leak if the caps didn't get put on snug. Another concern is that since they are made of plastic there's a possibility of building up a static charge as they rub on each other, then you touch one to open it up and 'poof'

what if someone built a kind of support so that you could lay them on their sides next to each other with the cap facing up? sort of like they have them stuck into the holder for a standard gerry can on the back of that wrangler. Iv also seen them attack one to the spare tire on the back somehow. And as far as not shipping them to Ohio Jerbacher, I know people that live just across the Michigan line that we could have them shipped to and then I could mail you your or just give them to you next time I see you.

I have read on this or perhaps another forum that they leak when laid flat.
