I have a buddy in New york uses one of those on his astro, works great, but of course he had to modify to accomadate his 6" of lift.
What is this setup...homemade winch crane of some sort?

It also attaches on two 1" pins on the bottom. It's really pretty stout. Also I've plowed with all my Cherokees and Comanches and they did alright. But I think this Liberty has a stronger uni-body. Before I got my CRD I was using my wifes 04 Liberty and moved a lot of heavy snow. Spent about 3 hours today plowing parking lots, alleys and driveways. Get a lot of looks from the bigger rigs that can't menuver like my CRD. I love to show off!!

How much snow can you plow without working your rig too hard? I had 6" on the ground when I left home the Saturday before Christmas and now we have 5 1/2 feet and still snowing. I will be home Friday and think that it is possible that I won't be able to drive up the driveway. :D

I think I need to get a plow as the one on the 4 wheeler won't do quite this much and it seems to snow more and more every year.

Gator,

We don't need plows we need rotary snow plows this winter. :? I have had to dig out about 5 times in December, once in January, and they say to expect around 12" more on Monday. We have had a total snowfall of about 70" this winter although it has shrunk down to about 30". Sometimes a 1/4 mile country driveway is not a pleasure. Although, my driveway is getting a whole lot more plowing than the County road it connects to. :(

I live near Priest River and also have a 1/4 mile drive to the house. I got lucky as one of the neighbours plowed it with his backhoe on New Years Day. He said he was just being a 'Good Neighbour' but I really think he needed some Diesel
We have 48" on the ground and more snow for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. At least the sun is out today.

I was in Seattle area for Christmas. What a mess over there. Snoqualmie is closed more than open and we were lucky to get straight through. Must be 12 feet at the Summit already. I need to go to Spokane on Monday and I dread it.

I live south of Spokane and we have had a little shrinkage before this cold spell hit so we have mayby 28"-30", but it has compacted pretty hard. I dug myself out Sunday and again New Years, then drove the tractor a mile and dug out my Mom yesterday. A couple of neighbors had helped her with a PU and front blade and with a toy tractor with a front bucket but they barely made a path so I spent 4.5 hours pushing it back and stacking it up so they had room to turn around. When you get 30" of snow in mid December you gotta think it is going to be a long, deep winter and you need to be pushing the snow way back otherwise you run out of room to put it.

If you are looking for a light weight blade you might check out Macklin Welding. Thry have had some in the past but I have never proced them out. Of course they may well have none left in stock. There have been a few here this winter who have made a small fortune moving snow, and selling shovels and roof rakes.

Drive safe on Monday to Spokane as we will get a foot and you will get more. It is also going to be wet, slippery and heavy!

Funny how we worry about getting out of our driveways. We have some friends NW of Reardan who finally got their County road opened up today, Saturday. They have been snowbound at the farm since Monday noon.

One thing I will do Monday is check around for a plow that will work as I think it will be another long Winter. We had snow into May last year. Global warming and all.

Pittsburg... I know someone who lives there. By any chance, do you know a woman named April that drives a Lincoln Mark VII? She is a friend from another board on the net.

If so... I have a funny joke to play on her. LMK, and we can have a good laugh.

Was it vehicle specific or a universal thing, How wide is it and how do you raise it?
