I live near Priest River and also have a 1/4 mile drive to the house. I got lucky as one of the neighbours plowed it with his backhoe on New Years Day. He said he was just being a 'Good Neighbour' but I really think he needed some Diesel
We have 48" on the ground and more snow for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. At least the sun is out today.
I was in Seattle area for Christmas. What a mess over there. Snoqualmie is closed more than open and we were lucky to get straight through. Must be 12 feet at the Summit already. I need to go to Spokane on Monday and I dread it.

I live south of Spokane and we have had a little shrinkage before this cold spell hit so we have mayby 28"-30", but it has compacted pretty hard. I dug myself out Sunday and again New Years, then drove the tractor a mile and dug out my Mom yesterday. A couple of neighbors had helped her with a PU and front blade and with a toy tractor with a front bucket but they barely made a path so I spent 4.5 hours pushing it back and stacking it up so they had room to turn around. When you get 30" of snow in mid December you gotta think it is going to be a long, deep winter and you need to be pushing the snow way back otherwise you run out of room to put it.
If you are looking for a light weight blade you might check out Macklin Welding. Thry have had some in the past but I have never proced them out. Of course they may well have none left in stock. There have been a few here this winter who have made a small fortune moving snow, and selling shovels and roof rakes.
Drive safe on Monday to Spokane as we will get a foot and you will get more. It is also going to be wet, slippery and heavy!
