Do you mean no spot for either the blinkers or fogs? Wouldn't mine changing out the fog lights but I kind of like my stock blinkers. I'm definately interested in the front.

I'm going to work in the stock blinkers, but not the fogs.

RL, I can see you're being hit with a multitude of questions so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. I see the swing-away only goes halfway across the back and I've seen this on many other designs as well. Is it for weight savings or is there another reason? Just curious.

Actually, most carriers go all the way across, but some are a short arm design. There are a number of reasons. Torque of the drivetrain forces the passenger side down, so a little extra weight on the driver's side helps counterbalance that. When you look over your shoulder out the rear window, most of your vision is in the center and passenger side, so the tire directly behind causes the least amount of visual interferance. A shorter arm also means less leverage on the hinge, meaning it is capable of holding more weight. Another reason, when you open the carrier, you don't have to step way back to clear the arm so it doesn't take you out with the swing, and you can open the arm further without worry of hitting the vehicle parked next to you at the mall. Um, those are the main reasons, but I am sure there are a few others I can't think of right now.

See if you can squeeze a Jerry Can mount , and most importantly a High Lift mount in there ...thats a big part of why I'm interested in a rear bumper. 8)

I think that pretty much answers all my questions and I few I hadn't thought about. Makes sense. Thanks.

Definitely need hi-lift mounts on there. And speaking of hi-lifts, are those slots in the rear for using the hi-lift?

The two black "slots" are actually representations of the shackle tabs, but yes, I can incorporate high lift slots, since it does make using the highlift a little more safe. Adding those Tshaped slots isn't anything difficult to cut out while the laser is going at it.

If the highlift slots were to be cut into the corner beveled ends the jeep might be able to be lifted without opening the tire carrier on the drivers side....just a thought. 8)

OK, wrote down everyones name on the interest list just from this thread, and I must say, if even just a 1/3 of you get in on these, they are definately worth the time. If the word gets out to all the other KJ forums, I may not have time to work on any products for all the other jeep models, (or I'll just hire some help).:D
I have started drawing up the plans for the rear, and having a KJ pretty much at my disposal is really going to speed things up. Let's keep adding those names, and start saving your money, because I have a pretty neat "intro special" in mind that should get a lot of peoples attention. Of course I can't let anyone in on that until it is time.:D

So, so far we have a height adjustable swingaway with at least one Jerry Can mount (maybe 2?), a HiLift mount and slots and shackles.
Put me down for one!

Rock Lizard: if you make that deal good on a front and rear pair, I'll put off the new mud terrains

Since I'm gonna have to replace my bumper anyhow, might as well save the $300 or so (without labour, paint, etc. so the total might be a bit more) towards this bumper.

Hear that, Rock Lizard? I'm definitely going to have to replace the bumper anyhow. So it's either the same old plastic thing, or this one :D

PS: while the laser is going at it anyway, why not add an option for cutting out the lost word?
