Here is a pic of my Trailready Front Bumper and Warn 8000i winch...for some ideas. This was my first Liberty 2002. This bumper with hoop was ~110#...turn signals were mounted behind the slots on each end of the bumper. 3/16" skin...1/4" elsewhere...thick shackles that passed thru the front skin...

wow so about ~200# hanging on the front there, what lift did it have?

You can save some serious weight by substituting winch rope (which is safer anyway) for the cable...saves about 28-30#s. Plus, even tho it is pretty light, the stock stuff you remove helps a bit. I had a custom (since I was the first to lift a Liberty) cut spacer/clevis/top plate lift. I had a powertrax (lunchbox locker) in the rear and a DTT LSD in the front. I ran 32" tires and it did great. I also had a TrailReady rear bumper. Daystar origianlly put full 2.5" spacers in the front which gave WAY TOO MUCH LIFT. Our experimenting in the early days of 2002 led to the Frankenlift. Clint and then BoulderBars which had connections with Daystar didn't hurt either.

wow nice bumper DarbyWalters I like how the hoop fit with the winch and protect it

3/16 skin  thats bullet proof

mine will be 1/8 so I expect the weight to be around 80# my winch in the box with all acessories weight 100# so if I go with a synth line and take off mabe 20# of the plastic bumper I should be around 130 to 160# of added weight in front

That looks like a good start, tho you may want to bring the ends of it up to match the stocker. Like where the blinker housings are or whatever. Still, looks good.

Those things are McNasty looking. I bet they way a ton though... That would drastically improve the Liberty's mug.

haha yeah those plasma cutters make quick work of what those angle grinders do, so are you using the thickness you said earlier?

still 1/8 shell and 3/8 top plate for winch but I bought 3/8 mounting bracket instead of 1/2. that should be enough for KK duty
