Interesting considering I've not really seen much in the way of his 6" lift. I'd have thought that that would have been a reall seller.

The Steering Knucle extention you see is solid steel much stronger than the casting of the knuckle which on a Grand Cherokee Lift is just as long but all casting. I've got 10,000 miles plus on since the lift without any issues. If your going to worry about something it should be your ball joints if you haven't changed all 4 to Moog yet!

Oooooooooooooooh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that, I will buy. Updates?

As interesting as it would be to actually see 35's on a KJ, it would be suicide for that front diff. It's been said. Bad idea. Give them credit for engineering it though.

ask and you shall receive :) 35x12.5's on 8in rims with moderate backspacing and 1.25in spider trax. yes it moved and drove.. yes it rubbed like mad.. no it's not practical by any means offroad or turning in less than a football field.
Image

i'm still thinking about the 12 inch lift. is there anything in production to help IFS flex more? if so i think that should be incorporated.. or perhaps a lower lift and more flex. the cradle drop is a good idea but does it actually help while offroad or is it just for more height?
A cradle drop for a 12" lift will severely weaken the ability to survive offroad abuse with all the stress's involved,it's just for more height and has no other use.

There is ways to make a IFS/IRS flex better then any solid axled vehicle, but how much money do you want to spend? Your looking at more then what a SFA would cost(my SFA cost) to acheive it though.

i agree; the last time i checked a goood IS system cost about 60k. Which I'm sure is well outside of most everyone price range. I was however looking at a different IS system that could work. After looking at one for about the last on I've come to the realization that the suspension and axles from a 1097, 1114, or 1165 HMMWV could be used. Im going to work on finding out prices on parts from my local fms shop cheif and see if it would be a viable option.
