Tell me if this sounds like fun.
Me+Wife+Dog+Cat= Fun?
Suprisingly not that bad. We left on a Monday night, and arrived in North Carolina 23 hrs 43 mins later.
It really was a fun trip. And most suprising was that my wife enjoyed the driving part of it. She was actually impressed with the Jeep.
Okay, so this is compared to driving my SRT-4 from Reno, NV, to MN, but that was also a straight through trip. Nonstop.
I hate going somewhere so far away, and stopping all the time, then getting a hotel, or what have you.
Monday night, we dropped the Jeep off at the stealership, and told them to change the oil, and check it over. Then we left there later, after getting dinner with my parents.
I drove through the night, and talked my wife into driving for two hours while I slept a bit. But of course she would not let the sleeping happen.
THats the problem with her planning trips. I have to keep her awake while driving.
But yes, we made it there safe and sound, and only had to fill up 5 times.
THat is alot of driving BTW. I will add more numbers later if anyone is interested. but we averaged 19 mpg's, with all the pets and gear in the jeep.
At one point we had to get some ticket thing for the Illinois toll hyway, and it gave us our weight at 15XX something. I thought I would get to keep it, but we had to give it back to them at the border.
All in all, the Jeep did great, the pets were awesome, and the wife was okay. Great trip, the only problem I had was my wife would not leave me in Kentucky

. What a beautiful state they have.
We are moving to NC sometime this year. Raleigh area.
