i got this about a week ago! its a traxxas 2wd electric baja truck! the suspension is so soft, its awesome. this was only 200 ready to run, the gas one was 440, so i got this one, i like electric better sometimes anyways, pretty quick, quiet and stays clean! no oily mess. the gas and eletric have totally different suspension setups too, i kinda like this one. just figured i would show you guys! sicne there are AMSOIL sponsors on here and all!

Nice Slash, Rayman.

Every time I go to the hobby shop, they say "HEY, over here...i'm cheaper than the next engine for your Savage and buggy"

LOL, awesome, your into rc's too? yea i couldnt pass it up for 200 rtr, its really fun! eventually im getting brushless for it, but right now, its fast enough, its fun! when they are TOO fast, they arent AS fun because they are so hard to control. i have about maybe 12 rc's? lol

yea nitro engines, especially for your savage, ay least .21 and up, are a lot of money! i love O.S. engines, im gettin a O.S. .18 for my revo when my engine dies, i already have 2 gallons through it

Me too...

Team Associated RC10 T3 With Mamba Max 7700 Brushless Motor
1/10th scale and 45+ MPH actual speed. Once you get used to it, it is not that hard to control.

just started getting into rc's i have two team associated monster trucks and a ofna buggy
only thing that i cannot stand is breaking the pull starts on them  and the $22 gallon of fuel
tried the roto start but then took it off i think i will be going back to the roto because it is just easier and you cannot really break anything starting it up
had some minor crashes but nothing too big they are great toys

I have always stuck with electric just because they are clean. They are also a little safer when teaching my boys. Not as likely to get burned. I haven't moved to Lipo batteries yet. That is the next big thing for us. I just want the 8000 or 10000 mah ones though and they are so $$$$$$$.

LTT, that's a sweet lookin T3! The newest AE electric I have is a B2...I've really thought about putting a BL system in it, but I'm half afraid of destroying discontinued transmission parts:P

Rob...get a starter box if you break the pullstarts on the buggy. Trust me, best $75 you'll ever spend. $22 for a gallon? Price here for a gallon of 30% O'donnell Race is about $40 (GOOOOD stuff though...)

I started an RC thread a while back in the "Other Jeeps and 4x4s" forum, but I think it got moved to the OT. Perhaps I should find it...

Mine is a T3. I have been running the Mamba for over 2 years now and haven't blown the transmission yet. But I have a lot of spare parts already in my field box too. Only thing I tear up is spur and pinion gears.

Yea, I was wondering what kinda batteries they took. Back in the day I loved my little RC trucks and cars. I bought one from Radio Shack back when they had good ones, now they have junk.

First one I bought was $200, other one was only $150. They were nothing like any of the above though. They took the 7.2volt batteries.

With the $150 truck, I got tired of it running down so fast so I bought another battery clip and stuck another battery in the bed of it. Thing had tons more power and lasted a good while longer! Probably wasnt good on the motors but I didnt care!

Nice! I just saw the Amsoil scheme on one the other day.
Ive wanted a Slash since they first came out, but this scheme is much better than the 'normal' selection(s).

One of these days. I think a trip to the LHS might be in order.

(Waterproof elecs should make playing in the snow fun, too  )

RC Crawlers are a huge deal out here in NV. They had a Crawl comp out at Moon Rocks the other day when we were planning on playing on the rocks out there but the RC guys had it pretty much staked out with mini cone thingys for the tracks. People were screaming and cursing when they didn't finish in time or if they were penalized. I had to laugh because they were just little RC toys to me, but they take it very seriously. I don't know if they had prize money or what but they have state wide rankings.

O'donnell 20% RTR is around $25 here...the 30% Race is the expensive stuff...

Anyway, the starter box is hard to explain, so i'll show you a picture.

it's this box here
Image

Usually powered by a 12v gel-cell battery, like what you use for your home alarm system, that wheel that protrudes through the top contacts the flywheel of the engine when you push down, and it turns the engine.

sometimes inconvenient, but the most reliable way to fire up your rig

**and a few radioshack/toys r us ones
supra drift car, 1/10th scale, orange and black
little radioshack mitsu lancer evo xmod

when i went to the hobbyshop, its awesome how many chocies there are now on 1/10th and 1/18th scale brushless systems now!! not too expensive either! thats my next upgrade to most of my 10th cars/trucks

and yes, those crawlers are awesome!! i like the duratraxx one, 4wd, 4ws, 2 motors, and its a good price too, 150rtr at the one hobbyshop in mentor by me, another hobbyshop had the same one for 240! duratrax stuff seems to be pretty good for what it is! i know a lot of people dont like it, bt that rock crawler is very nice! the axial rock crwaler is cool too! LOSI has one out as well

odeonnel 30% is 44 by me, i got a quart of 30% odonnel for 10 bucks, i dont use it as much, so i get it by the quart so it stays fresh
