When I replaced mine - there was a local guy that got OEM windshields and came out to the house and installed it.
it was about $150 total.

So I'd say check some local auto parts/mechanic places.

All windshields are pretty much the same needing to meet certain specs. I have a local guy that I used and he only uses the same glass as stock, paid 165 plus tax and he did it in my garage

This KJ is just about ready for another windshield. Normally I try to repair all chips to extend the life of the windshield, but this last one was a big old rock and spread to a crack too quick to repair. Now it's a top to bottom crack that I have to get done. One thing I have learned about windshields is, the first rock will be eye level, driver's side....

yea last winter, i had a rock hit me, anout 1/2 circle chip/check. got it filled, insurance did that for free(company said they had 1 year warranty). week later, windshield cracked all the way across the bottom, an arc shape, below the wipers through that chip. they said they couldnt cover it because being winter time with the moisture and all.

2 weeks after that, a good 2" thick, school book sized piece of ice came out of NOWHERE on the open highway doin about 60mph, top right corner of the window(NOOOO clue how it didnt completely shatter the window!) and made an S shape crack across the entire windshield connecting into the other lower crack, and its still like that today haha

Good to know it's a reasonable price to replace!
because I can barely see thru my windshield in the rain+dark, dunno why! (maybe the prev owner used rain-x or something) so I guess I'll be replacing mine soon too!

I really need a new windscreen... this stock one is 7 years old and really starting to show pitting during sunny driving conditions.

Does your insurance cover it? In Kentucky the insurance must cover the cost of a windshield.

If they do and you dont like your windshield, just throw a rock at it! Make sure youve got good aim though.

It's law in KY?

I know my insurance covers up to 2 windshields a year

Only needed it once.
