The stock tire on the liberty is 29", or at least that is what I am running (245/70/16)... Why do you think I want 245/75/16? Total height difference of the tire is .9" and total width almost the same... That gives a extra height of less than .5" :S I'm thinking I'de rather a bigger tire, the 238/85/16 gives me 31.8", same width pretty much but much more height, actually just shy of 1.5" more height under the rear diff... This would give me a lift of at least 4" (2.5" min for franky + 1.4" for tires).... However most people seem to say the franky gives 3 or more so I could get lots of extra body clearance. My main argument for tall tires is that they (as far as I know) are the only way to increase hieght of the diffs, and this would give the liberty a really nice advantage... Of course, my math could be wrong so please correct me if so... I will bow my head
Now as far as available tires, everyone in my jeep club swears but these truxus mt tires, and they are avaible in the 235/85/16... as well as far as BFG both the TAKO and the KM2 are available in this tire size as well, so I'm sure there are tons available.

I can handle the pinch weld, but would rather not do any altering if I don't have to...I also don't want to invite any more rust than normal either screwing w/ the plastic liner.
If 29's didn't look too bad, it's something I would consider for the mileage & power factor, I'd really like 30's tho.
When I put the 29's on my Kia, it battled to get to highway speed...& to keep it there was another struggle. I put the stockers back on last fall & what a difference. I want a good quality lift w/ the perfect size tires on the liberty, as if it came from the factory that way.
You want 245/75-16s.
They look good with an OME lift, you're not going up drastically in tire size, and you've got a lotta good choices in that size for a wheelin tire
