First off yes it's a 2wd =)

I recently purchased a pieced together lift kit consisting of Rancho front shocks and Rusty's springs, Daystar rear spacers and Skyjacker rear shocks. Also JBA UCA's.

My problem is that the rusty's springs are sagging very badly. So much that with the UCA's my camber is nearly posative.

I need a cheap fix for this. I dont think any amount of clevis lift will solve the problem, so I'm looking at purchasing front springs only. I know OME's can be purchased individually, but I don't think they're tall enough to match the daystar 2.5 rears. Also, looking for as smooth/close to stock ride quality as possible. Any help would be appreciated!

He has the OME's for sale front only, but they're listed as 1.5" lift. I want to match the rear daystar spacers. He also has the front daystar spacers seperate - would anyone recommend using daystars with Rusty's springs? Or would you sooner go stock+daystar front and back?

call Dirk (316-776-9900) from DPG Off-Road and tell him you want a pair of OME924 coils, that is the OME HD coils and they will give you 2.5" of lift and if you need more than that add a clevis and/or a strut plate, but you should get 2.5".

He is great to deal with, probably one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with along with Trail Quest.

They're listed as 1.5" too, but seeing as how they're ment for a ARB bumper that 1.5" is prob with the bumper, your right would easily be more without it.

But I'm afriad OME HD's will be too stiff? My g/f drives the jeep mostly and I don't want her to have to put up with a rough ride.

Yes they are all listed as 1.5" bc thats what OME calls them, but it will not be too stiff I have HDs and I would never go with MDs and most people on here with a OME lift has HDs and Ive only heard one person complain about the OME HD, IMO it gives you the best possible ride from your KJ. When I installed them on my KJ I gained 2.5" just from the coils and then I did a clevis to bump it up more.

I would be willing to bet you will love how your KJ rides and handles with OME HD. NOT stiff one bit!

I'm getting closer to being convinced =)

Did you drive the OME HD's without your bumper? the ARB (custom etc) adds weight to the spring, preload I guess, I'm sure that helps soften it up some?

I'm down to Daystar + Rusty's (Sagging), Daystar + stock, or OME HD. all with rancho shocks I have. Can anyone think of adverse effects of having OME HD's in front and stock in rear?

no I made my bumper before I had a lift but it only weighs 50# but I can promise you even if I didnt have a bumper I would still have gotten the HD.

Last I talked to Dirk the coils were $72 each, so $144 for the new coils that will probably outlast your KJ

I just installed OME 927 HD coils with Rancho RSX 17505 Struts while re-using the factory strut mounts, and both top and bottom spring isolators. I achieved 2.5" lift no problems. If you do this set up don't get fooled by the new strut assembly being the same length as the factory unlifted, the lift comes via the coils not compressing nearly as much as the factory coils.

I originally went with this set up because I was going to wait to replace the 2.5" spacer lift in the back while still keeping the front and rear lift the same height (Sound like what you are trying to achieve). I went ahead and changed the back anyway, however I did the front end work first, and compared the ride height to the spacer lift in the back and they were nearly bang on.

Shouldn't be a problem as the most lift you'll get from OME is ~2.5, same as rustys.

SweepnChoke: It looks like you've got an ARB too. I really want to know how a lib 2x4 rides with the springs, but no extra weight. I'm just about set on the HD's though.

I dont have an ARB and my front bumper is probably about a good 20# less than an , last time I weighed it it was about 45#, if no one replies that has OME HD coild w/o a metal bumper just PM someone and ask them, most are more than willing to help if you ask
