Just a few silly questions about ESP.
When I start my Jeep (07 Limited), Is ESP automatically activated?
Or do I have to activate the system by pushing the little button on steering column?
Does the ESP Indication lamp supposed to be lit to represent active?

I've read the owners manual. It only explains what ESP is; and not how to operate or disengage the system.

If you were to look at your owners manual (can't paste, copy since it was in ADOBE on the jeep website) it starts on page 129 and runs to page 133. This will tell you about ESP and how to deactivate it, ect.....

To answer your direct questions:

this deactivates it

Does the ESP Indication lamp supposed to be lit to represent active? No, this represents it has been deactivated.

Although this is the reverse of all the other indication lights. eg 4PT,4FT,4Low

Just to add a point when it's flashing it's "working" meaning it's ON but is limiting slip.
