My tranny pan has a few scrapes and it looks like a few rust spots but no leaks. I’m doing dropping the pan and changing out the fluid. I’d like to swap out the pan for one in much better condition if not for a new one. I checked my local junk yards and they don’t sell the pan only; they sell the transmission as one; which of course is understandable. I called the dealer and they wanted fifty some dollars. My question is has anyone changed their tranny pan? Where did you get it? How much did you pay for it?
I have a 45RFE transmission.

If there is one out their; I’m not interested in a $100+ after market tranny pan.

Someone makes a larger capacity pan, but it won't fit stock skids. Not sure who.

Well since they technically don't make the 45RFE anymore the increased price is expected.

i had some scrapes on mine so i took it off cleaned all the rust off sprayed it with undercarriage protective coating and put it back on. oh yeah i put in a drain plug and changed the filters since i had it off.
