My rear with carrier and hi lift mount is less than a RL with a swing away and hi lift by over $800 and I don't pay shipping. Even when or if I add the fuel swing away it will be cheaper by a lot.

Liked it up until the spare tire/ hi lift mount, now not so much, personal taste I guess, but maybe the final product will look better

Of course you don't like ARBs and I do so

Gas ran out while the side plating was going in. Hope to be done tomorrow afternoon if gas can be found.

Out of curiosity Tom what would you change? That way if someone else takes the plunge they can have the constructive input. The more ideas being tossed around the better.Image

Most likely Monday or Tuesday at this point. Hard to find anyone who refills gas on Sunday and he is closed on Monday I believe. He might be closed tomorrow too actually :?

Picking it up tomorrow at 4. My guy just called and told me he got his hands on another tank and finished it up. The paint is drying as I type this. :D

The guy that build the bumper name is Eric and he goes by Dr. Smash, or Smash to the locals. he is sponsoring a jeep that is up for Top Truck challenge this year. The jeep is challenger #55, this guy:

Smash is doing a complete new cage and tube fenders for him and it is sweet! So if you guys are ever in Carson City, NV, check him out and have him build you some sick armor for your jeep.

Oh and for those wondering, the bumper weighs approximately 98 pounds and is made of 1.75 diameter x .120 wall hot rolled steel tubing.

Probably best to ask him here so he'll be more likely to see it.

What's the point of the receiver tube? 1.75"x0.120 hot rolled steel is strong but not that strong, now if it was DOM it would be another story. Why not have it built out of DOM? It would have been like 10x's stronger(though 10x more expensive).
