Any way to answer every one question about the bugs, The upper bushing on the new shocks is to narrow. The shock is meant for a 6 to 8 inch lifted chevy p/u, burban, blazer,K5 made between 1969 and 1991. So inturn, you need about a half inch to shim the upper bushing mount


Interesting on the brake lines. How much green was he going to charge you?

Not a problem.. normally I'm not on at this time, but I have today off. All most every one in the KK section is a excellent.. there are only a few bad apples that like to be Mr. funny around here :lol:

hmm... labor is a little much considering that you can get the parts for about 60 to 70 bucks

I have a set of gy silent armor too in 245/70 16 , thats why I could guess they look the same but on 17'' rims :wink: I have them since 30k miles and they are not louder now. I rotate them every 5k to 10k

What is your ground clearance now UncleJJ???

I love the pictures. I like seeing them when they are the same shot with the only differance being the lift.
This gives me a better idea about what it looks like..
Or taking a Second KK non lifted put next to yours and take pictures...


I am looking at lifts kits right now.
But prices is a huge worry...
Do not want to spend to little and get crap or to much for things that are not needed..

Has anyone installed the JBA 2.5 out in Colorado yet? Digger, I'm guessing you did your own install on the 4"?

I'm looking at possibly changing my mind about getting the daystar budget lift for something better like the JBA. If I do that, I know I don't trust myself to install it 100%, but I'd also be weary of taking it to some of the denver 4x4 shops where they've never heard of JBA anyway.

Whats needed is all dependent on what you want from your truck. Do you want to do hardcore off-roading or just more fun when playing in the mud. Once you decided on what you want from your truck then you can see which lift kit is needed.

So far, I only know of 2 KK with JBA lifts. Mine with the 4 inch kit and uncle with the 2.5. There will be a KA Nitro going under the knife in a couple of week if not sooner for the 2.5

the tires are 1.5'' taller that means they fill the wheelwells 3/4'' all around. since its a 2.5'' lift what you see look like a 1 3/4'' lift and thats hard to see on pictures. even in person thats not much. You can find out by you self how it looks in person. just put a jack under your kk and lift it 1 3/4''
