Well, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it myself, but the Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fix actually works. And it pretty much was "instant".

I have tried to make the shudder occur (and I've gotten good at it over the years), but it's smooth as silk. You can feel where it ALMOST wants to shudder, but the RPMs climb smoothly and get out of "shudder" range.

Amazing! Under $8 for the fix after I blew $1000 on the Suncoast and shift kit. Wow!

I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if the shudder returns.

I have been dealing with the shuddering for the last 6 months. Mine started at almost 30k miles, currently have 35,500mi. My first trip to the dealership three months ago to address the issue resulted in them adding a tube of friction modifier to the tranny. After a month it came back. I took it back last week and pointed them to the torque converter. Got it back yesterday with a new torque converter. They also pulled the tranny and inspected it. Even though it checked out ok, they performed a "soft" rebuild on it while it was out, (new clutches, flush, filters etc)
I drove it easy for the first few hours, but I then tested it, hard acceleration-55mph, ease off the throttle-shuddered like it always did. How about that?
I will now address air in the fuel lines, like I have read on many posts here.
I am glad I have eliminated the torque converter as suspect, at least for now.
Anyone have any other suggestions/wisdom?

I am on another forum for my wife's car. Beautiful cars but have inherent tranny issues. Many swear by Lubegard.

you get the shudder when you ease the throttle ? I get the shudders while on it...

Actually it happens as I ease back into the throttle such as to maintain a set speed. It quickly goes away and will not do it again until a hard (not floored) acceleration from a dead stop. There is one stop that I make every day on my way home from work where I make a turn and accelerate up a slight incline for about 1/4 mile, then a slight downhill where I let off the throttle. The very instant I need to apply throttle again I get shuddering, every single time. Under normal circumstances, i.e. driving where I never exceed 1/4 to 1/2 throttle such as stop and go traffic, it never shudders.
If you are still experiencing shuddering with a Facet lift pump, maybe mine is not caused by air in the fuel delivery system...

I only get it at light throttle openings in 4th around 50mph or 5th around 62mph.

Exact symptoms I had B4 installing my Kennedy pump, that is, air in fuel.

What you are describing sounds like air in the filter head. The tranny shudder occurs under moderate to hard acceleration, usually at the point just before the transmission would downshift into a lower gear. A lift pump would most likely solve the problem.

Can we get a show of hands from those who use only DCJ ATF+4 and get the shudder, oem TC or Suncoast TC...........

me, DCJ ATF+4, Suncoast, EDGE Trail, INMOTION - no unanticipated\unexpected shudder - didn't drive it enuff with EDGE Trail module to know if shudder was occurring B4 Suncoast

Could someone descride what the shuddering is like? Is it something you feel(vibration?)
The only thing i notice with mine is under normal to maderate acceleration at about 60 when the tranny fully shifts out, there will be a short (a second or 2 ) where the RPMS increase by about 2-3hundred, then settles back down. Don't reallt feel what i would describe as shuddering. Feel like the torque convertor doing something not the tranny upshifting. I have the sun coast converter and shift kit along with inmotion tune.

I think the Cummins/Dodge is the best solution because it is in the tank. Any external pump would have to suck through at least a couple of connections :lol:

Having seen the fittings back by the tank first hand there's no way they should have ever been used :shock:

The quick disconnect plastic fittings are way too loose of a fit to seal a vacuum connection :cry:

Mine stuttered after mild acceleration to about 54 mph when I let off slightly to maintain that speed within 1/2 mile from the dealership the day I bought it new :roll:

As far as BIO goes as I remember the Dodge Cummins powered trucks approve BIO up to B20
