I work in a Cooper Tire facility and can answer any question that anyone may have. We make M.T., Procomp, Cooper's, and others.

Any ideas why mine wore out after 33,000 miles instead of the 50,000 they are warranted for?

Okay then, my understanding of tires and composition of tires is limited however it appears that the harder compound tires give higher mileage and less grip than the softer tire which would give the exact opposite. Then the tread pattern design comes into the equation and this is for the aesthetic appeal of the tire and the ability of the tire to perform in wet circumstances.

So what i need to find is a tire that fits somewhere in the middle and gives both durance and handling.

have bf all terain tyres but due to be changed,my work takes me on and offroad ,so i would say 50/50
cants get bf's at moment as sell like hot cakes hetre,good sign,was looking at COOPER ATR ,local tyre guy has Discoverer AST II,debating weather i get them or not,what are AST'S like working on dirt
