Ok every one, I am posting this for Scar0. These are the PDF files that he produced when he did the 2.5 on his KA Nitro

Part 1
Part 2

Thank you very much for these install instructions Scar0. The KA and KK are identical when it comes to suspension.

Excellent job Scar0. I'll be using this when I install my JBA 2.5" lift in my KK later this spring. Nicely done instructions and great timing! :D

(Oh, thanks Digger for posting this too...)

Thank you very much Digger! I had no way to save and post the pdf files.
Hopefully they will be of some use.

A couple of things I would have done differently;
In part 1, I would have removed the lower sway bar link bolt instead of the upper, and removing the brake caliper would have made access a little easier. Also, to separate the ball-joint from the knuckle, once the nut is removed, smack the flat part of the knuckle with a small sledge (at the top by the taper), and it will pop right off.
In part 2, you could remove the sway bar from the axle instead of the upper link bolts. I chose the upper because it was only 2 bolts instead of 4. The 4 are actually easier. Rear shocks will require washers to make up the width difference of the new shock. Another option would be to just torque the bolts down which will slightly bend the brackets. Washers of course are the better option.
Thanks again Digger for posting these for me.
Before & After.

EDIT: Added more info.

Scar0,

Did you self-perform installing the JBA lift?

How long did it take you for the front? The rear? And to generate the "how-to"?

I apologize if I missed this information somewhere in your post.

Thanks again for adding to the "how-to" section.

Yes, I did the lift install, all by myself. (Solo)
I can not give you an accurate time for the install, because I was taking Pics, and notes at the same time, over a 2 day period.

The How-To write up took longer than the install. LOL
With all the photo editing, saving, review, rewrites, specification references etc. I would say it was about 14 hours for both part 1 & 2.
I was also doing the write up for Marlin @ JBA, so I wanted it as accurate as I could get. I have sent him a copy of both.

Good write up. So similar, even teh pics, that you could use it for a KJ install too.

Thanks, not sure about the torque specs and the under hood part.

I jsut finally looked at this and just wondering if you recalculated your torque settings for using all those extensions with each other?

The only time torque need to be recalculated is if the length of the torque wrench is changed. IE adding a cheater pipe or not using the handle... If length is added inline with the socket adapter, torque will stay the same......
