The thumping under the wifes feet has been getting worse and I need to tighten up the mount. I know that someone posted a procedure to do this and can not find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if that's my problem. I have a clunking that I am sure is coming from under the passenger floorboard thats driving me nuts! Anyone got a pic of it's location?

Mine presented itself as a pop sounds when coming to a stop or when going over the right bump.

Fairly common problem it seems.

Sam,

Thanks for the pic. Which one is the offending nut. the ones on the motor or the motor mount itself? What size?

I guess I Probably should get a flame or two, but I thought that I read that you needed some super long extension and a joint and thread though some where.

I am between houses right now and don't have access to my tools on a regular basis and the plant mechanics really give you bad faces if you ask to borrow tools overnight.

Thanks

Take that pic with a grain of salt, it shows you where the mount is relative to the engine, but thats about it, thats my crd engine in my MJ.

I used a open end wrench to get on it. Pretty sure mine was on the top side.
