Dude - with all these questions - you need to be buying your CRD soon so that you can play.

The obvious difference is that they increased the plastic thickness around the heater plug and changed the plug design.
which makes sense - that's where they were getting air leaks.

FYI - on the filter ratings - this was the link to FRAM complaining about filter rating

Thanks AT. Im working 12 hours a day seven days a week at the moment. When this project is over Im going to find my truck, fly to wherever and buy it. Should be a nice drive home.....I appreciate all the help.

I would just go with the Racor unit if I had it to do over again. I like the set up a lot better.

I buy the CAT 1R-0750 filter from a marine dealership online. According to the parts manager at the CAT dealership here; that one is rated at 2 microns but isn't used in most of the equipment that they service because they clog too fast . He had to hunt for a while to find the info in his catalog. He may have been feeding me a line, but that's all I have to go on.
