This is the thread I got for my search. Is there a visual instruction out there for the SEGR anywhere? I picked up an assemnled one from a fellow LOST member and was wondering about the install.

I have had the SEGR installed for several months. Engine runs better, better fuel milage, and a cleaner healthier engine.
Is there any measurable advantage to the GDE, given the added cost, if you have the SEGR installed?

I found a guy that was able to install my SEGR. Everything went well....no CEL!

My question is: Before I had the SEGR installed, I had two codes that came up which pointed to the EGR valve. At that time the Jeep was running poorly...(black soot / smoke out the exhaust. As a temporary fix I disconnected the MAF sensor and then it would run great. I now have the SEGR installed and have plugged the MAF back in and the Jeep is still running great with no CEL. My mechanic never pulled the EGR valve to see what position it was in. I am assuming that the EGR valve is closed because the Jeep is running so well. Should I have the EGR valve pulled anyway to see if it is fully closed?

Thanks!

No what I did was to loose the two bolts that hold the in coming exoust pipe to the egr and install a plate to cover the hole, tight the bolts and my oil is much cleaner and it run so good; Of course I have the SERG.

Count me in as a satisfied customer. Have had on for over a month of pain free driving and better acceleration not to mention fuel economy. I also like the fact that thing sounds a little more diesely now :D
