I like that my Provent cuts the fumes emanating from under the CRD but I still get oil drops as the tube I attached to the bottom of the Provent is not secure enough the the oil eventually gets through. Is there a better way to secure the bottom tube? Or should I just plug the bottom of the Provent?

Plug it and drain when full. I just let mine drip. I made a special spill mat in my garage for it. I had a hard time explaining to the wife that dripping oil was a good thing.

Clean the barbed nipple removing all oil residue, boil a small pot of water and stick the end of the 3/8 drain line into it to soften the pvc. place on the nipple and tighten using a good quality clamp (like the ones for fuel injection lines) don't overtighten. This will give you a good seal.
