An Idea for Colorado Fun...

Just putting this out there to see if there is any interest. As some of you may know, rafting season is upon us. I happen to run a rafting operation in Idaho Springs...so here is my idea.

I think it would be a lot of fun (if anyone is interested) to meet up at my shop, do a morning raft trip then head out and hit a trail or two.

Never done any rafting, want to though... But I would be up for the trail run for sure.

well sounds like a great idea. i have not done rafting in a long time. But, i am more into spending my money on wheeling my jeep than anything else.

I would definetly be down for that!!

If we do it in Aug, I should be able to wheel my jeep, if earlier, I will steal Marty's junk whether he agrees or not.

This really is just an idea that I'm throwing out there. If there is interest (which is seems there may be) we can start working on details.

The water is always cold on clear creek, but we provide wetsuits and boots. I could probably work out a killer deal on price, if I got enough confirmed people. If only a few want to come, hell I'll run the boat in my free time, no charge. I think first week or two of june will be the best as far as water level. Let me know what you guys are thinking and I can get the ball rolling.

Looks amazing!!! Sounds like a blast. It would be tough for me to schedule between my two jobs, but if you get a couple people interested and can come up with a time. I would be all for tryin to make it work. I know I will have the whole weekend off the first three weekends of june!!!

Whenever I go rafting, they always stick me up front because am a bigger guy. Which means I am always the one you can't see in the pic because I am under water. I am also inevitably the anchor for the panicking old woman behind me who is trying not to fall in.

I'm glad to hear that people are interested. Tentatively 2nd week of june... about $24 a head? Who's in?

June 8-10, 17-19, and 26-28.

If it fits in those dates count me in +1.

I am definently interested. It would have to fall on the weekend for me though.. Hope that don't make it too tough.

26-28 falls on the weekend. How would this work for people? I can take care of the rafting side of things if maybe someone wants to work on a few trails that would be fun to do? I really don't know much about the trails over there.

Dangit, I wish I still lived in Ft. Collins. I'd be there in a heartbeat! I just did a mild-white water canoe/camping trip here in VA this past weekend and all I could think about were the great rivers in CO.

Is anyone still interested? I'd love to make this work. But if no one is up for the rafting trip, I'm working pretty much everyday in Idaho Springs, so just let me know if you to meet up and do a trail run some day.
