If one were to do (or have done) the EHM, what might one have used to plug the stock hose that is removed from the CCV?

One might find that a synthetic wine cork works well.

I used a 3/4" pipe plug and a hose clamp. Might have been a 1/2" pipe plug,

Took a bolt about 4" long that fit the hose and cut the threads off the end, deburred the end, and stuck it in the hose. Hose clamped it too.

Nice, spark plug :P

I used a bolt and a pair of hose clamps. If she finds a way to suck that in, well, let her have it.
