Hi,
Looking for a Diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD or Overland that is on lot of a delaership that is closing. If I buy the vehicle, I will pay a fee of 100 dollars to the person who made it happen for me. Local dealership here is selling new Jeeps for 40-50% off of sticker but no CRDs.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Drew

heres how it happens. he will send you 200 bucks and ask for 100 bucks back... the check will go through and you will send him the money. Few weeks later you get a call from the bank saying the money order he sent was fake. Your out 100 bucks :P

There was one on our dealer's lot but they closed down two weeks ago and all the vehicles are gone. :(

Good luck Drew, hope you find one!

Nurse,
Thanks, but no thanks. Which ones are listed by dealers going out of business? One local dealership who is being forced to close their doors is selling at up to 40% off MSRP bu all they have are gassers.

Dude, brand new leftovers from 07 and 08 are selling for 22-24K on ebay. How much cheaper do you think you can get from a dealer closing its doors?

What do you get with an "Overland" package anyway?

Overland has fancy saddle-type leather in it, like a Ford King Ranch edition. I think it has slightly higher ride height too. From the research I've done, the CRD Overlands are VERY hard to find. Most had Hemis.

Sir Sam,
If I could get a AWD limited for 22k on fleabay, I would be driving one. The ones I've found are selling for more than that by a significant amount.

I think 100 bucks is a fair finders fee if you happen to know of a CRD sitting on a lot at a dealership that is being forced to shut their doors due.

I'm quite suprised by all of the @$#%s responding to my thread. Don't you pricks have anything better to do then to knock people?

All I can say is keep checking ebay, about a month ago there were 2-3 that fit that criteria out of about a dozen total, I checked yesterday and there are only 3 on there total now.

What kind of cheap crack are you smoking? Insulting those board members who have tried to help you is not the best way to get what you are looking for. No one has "knocked" you except in your imagination.

Just because I can't afford fancy store bought crack and have to make my own doesn't mean you can make fun of me for it.

Lol. does Amsoil make baking soda for that, or do you have to go with Arm&Hammer?

Drewd, seriously - I just made $100 off you with a 5-minute Google/ Autotrader search:

The Jeep:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?c ... dard=false

And the NY Times Map that lets you know this dealership is closing (it takes a minute to load):

http://www.nytimes.com/projects/maps/ch ... osing.html

Send me a PM and I'll let you know my Paypal account to send me the $100. . .

I found my 07 GC CRD Limited 4X4 on ebay for less than 22k in January. It had 12,500 miles on it and it was back when diesel was alot higher than gas. It seems the prices of diesels move with the prices of fuel, diesel higher than gas=diesel vehicles are cheaper, Diesel less than gas=diesel vehicles are more expensive. Now doesn't seem like a good time to buy cause around here diesel is 30 cent cheaper than gas. Winter seems like a good time to buy diesel vehicles because heating oil keeps the price of diesel up and the price of vehicles down. I have bought both of my diesels in winter for this very reason. Good luck with your search, but I feel the best time to buy the GC CRDs has passed you by.

Jason
