Cheri Wasserstrom, a friend and popular wheeler here in Ohio, died ina Jeep roll-over this weekend. I won't discuss details, I just wanted to do something to honor Cheri.

Obituary:
Cheri Beth Wasserstrom, age 37, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 24, as a result of an off-road recreational vehicle accident. She was at the time enjoying her favorite activity – off-roading with friends. Cheri is survived and dearly loved by her parents, Linda Katz (Jerry Hackman) and Alan (Daina) Wasserstrom; her brother Eric (Jennifer) Wassertrom, adored nieces and nephew Chloe, Phoebe and Wendy Wassertrom and Michael Herwald; step sisters and brothers Audrey Hackman, Michael (Caroline) Hackman, Steven Hackman, Amy (David) Smith, Mindy Hackman, Maggie and Michael Fekete and Dominic Tarantelli. In addition, Cheri leaves behind many other close relatives and friends, colleagues at the Great Harvest Bread Company and three cats, Thelma, Louise and Sophie. Cheri graduated from Bexley High School and the Scottsdale Culinary Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was an avid reader and dearly loved her extended families. She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of fair play, passion for social change and especially for her courage in overcoming life’s challenges. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St., with Rabbi Harold Berman and Cantor Jack Chomsky officiating. Burial to follow at Old Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at her mother and step-father’s residence. Services at 7:30 p.m. each evening.
