Think your old tires (sold to a buddy?) would've gotten you out?

You should have called me. I have pulled a few people out of Tower Road, and know a few other places around there as well...

Thats funny, you knew it was Tower Road right off the bat ... LOL ... There was a guy in an F250 that came to go fishing 5 min after it happen. He had a strap and pulled me out

Even with my old (new) tires I don't think I would have got out of that ... It was deep and thick.

i almost manged to do that in a waterlogged median down below camp lejeune tank trails , was about 900 feet of mud/standing water and i couldn't restrain myself

i dove in it at about 25-30 and it imediatly bogged me down to about half that, after about 200 feet i managed to get a front tire onto the shoulder/pavement and crawl out

tires like we've got (my dextero's are a bit similar to what you've got) do pretty well all around, but once we get too deep (fascia on the ground) we're pretty much screwed anyway

glad ya got out without damaging anything!

have you considered getting some fiberglass traction ladders and plastic tent stakes? i used to have an aluminum set in my cheyenne and bronco II, they can be quite helpful when you're on your own and either have nothing to winch to, or noone to pull you out

you can carry them in one of those long rubbermaid containers like what you'd put under a bed, keeps keep the mess that they always bring with them out of your cargo area

That is some slick mud. If you had your old more aggressive tires you wouldnt have slid into the hole though.

Did you scratch the heck out of the chrome wheels in the mud?

Oh no, I drove into that hole ... I just didn't realize how deep and thick the mud was ...

Sharky, is there a reason as to why you posted a pic of your truck ...

he's just proud of his new brush guard, he'll calm down in a week or two

there is a tendancy for the bottom to fall out from under what looks like shallow mud, i think it's happened to all of us who have wheeled at some point in time!

Is that factory tint or aftermarket tint? Looks darker than factory tint.

Are you passenger side wheels pretty scratched up now from the mud?
