What made you switch? Just curious. I have been debating going back in, but now that I am married, I am not too sure.

The Services are definitely a different culture and more tight knit community, easier to enter and fit in than in the real world. I missed it for a long time when I got out. Only the years and knowing that my buddies are out in the world now, make me miss it less.

My hearing was to bad to get back into the Marines but the Army was more then happy to take me in.

 No, I wasn't Airforce!

I'm a Marine! I went there for cold weather training before 3/3 deployed for Afghanistan. This has been almost 4 years ago now. Like I said it wasn't fun while I was there but now that I look back I had a good time!

Joining NROTC my junior of college so I could become a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps after my graduation. Hopefully with my degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering I will be allowed to pilot the AH-1W Super Cobra if not working with M1A1 Abrams tank would be my goal.

On a final note thank you to all that have served our country, whether active duty or reserve I look up to you.

My Mother was a Medic / Physicians Assistant in for 30+ years. She joined Navy but given the trade, she did army and airforce as well. Dad joined the Navy at 17 as a cook, and he just finished as a COXN on a ship. He was the FIRST cook to EVER make it to COXN :) My Moms Dad was a Airforce Mechanic, my Dads Dad was Navy. I have more Military in my blood than I can count.
