you have to relocate the antenna afterwards, or no antenna
dpgoffroad.com click snorkel and call ask for "Dirk" and order up!!

Antenna whip is gone with the wind although i can still pick up local stuff just not as far out. Snorkel was purchased from http://www.dpgoff-road.com/site/airflow_snorkels.htm
But I also have my iPOD and satellite radio .. Thanks for the kind words :)

Who is the current keeper of the template and can I get a few days with it??? I didn't even think to ask Dirk for it when I ordered mine, it looks like the way to go as far as putting on the snorkel...they sure look better mounted than mine does in the garage attic.

Im sure some one will PM you about it. Thunderbird junkie PM'd me about it because he had it while I was doing my install. Good luck on the install.

Does snorkel interfere with your view of the right hand side? I'm planning to ship this baby over to S. Africa soon, so I am already on the wrong side of the road...

Well done 03', I fitted my own, and you can be proud of your work at the end of the day eh? Seems every one uses a different tool to cut the odd shaped holes, but the 3" Hole saw is always the "Deepest Cut"!!!!!
Cheers from downunda.

I have a request: could you post a picture of where it mounts to the a-frame? I have a kit that I am getting ready to install-- but the directions are not exactly clear on where the thing mounts to the a-pillar. I am assuming it is somewhere along the metal in there, and perhaps it does not even matter. Also, there are two bolt holes in the snorkle up toward the top, Which one is used to attach to the a-frame and where does the other one bolt to?

And one more thing... did anyone's kit look like it was missing hardware? Mine does not have all the stuff that is shown in the picture (no rivets for example).

I had the same problem with the hardware. It took a week or two but I got a whole new set sent from Australia to me from Airflow. I just mounted it to the lil plastic molding that goes around the window and then siliconed it. Im not happy with the spot cuz a good wind could IMO rip it out. I will try and get a pic for you.. since got a new set of hardware I used both triangle shaped brackets so I used both bolt holes.

What? I feel this comment needs an explanation. :)

Regarding AltE
He will be driving on the left side of the road so with the stering on the left he already is at somewhat of a disadvantage as far as seeing on the right side , then add the snork and it may create a bigger blind spot for him. But I wouldn't think so having driven over there now.

I don't think that it will create a bigger blind spot than the flame throwers you need to keep the car jackers off of you!

Lucky for me my wife doesn't read this forum, although I will be chief of security for all of DOD and she/kids will have 24 hour guards...
