So sad I have not been able to do anything to my KK. Been to busy studying for my last architectural test. But soon will be able to order a 4" lift and get some 32" tires!

today was a big day, i first removed the stupid air dam thing.. looks so much better without it. I then got to the goodies... i installed my euro side markers... that's right they are now installed... pics will be up soon!. i also changed my blinkers to sylvanias blue bulbs that light up amber... they look great... i did both the front and the back. finally i debaged the 3.7L the 4X4, ( left the limited which will later be painted) and the trail rated badge, but before you bash me, i live on long island and my jeep wont really get to see the trail so i had to do it.

Some success, and some not so successful, work on the KK today:

1. Installed RRO Superslider rock rails:

I'll try to post more info Sunday, but if I can't get to it then, it probably won't be until Independence Day weekend. I think they'll provide appropriate protection for the lower rocker panels. They came with useless instructions for the KJ which in no way applied to these made for the KK. Some of it fit up well, others required some reaming and/or shimming. Took longer than it could have, but I'm pleased with the end result (especially since there is no other aftermarket provider actively selling and promoting KK rock rails). I'm anxious for RL to get things squared away and come back to pursuing developing some KK products.

2. Installed (2) additional spring isolators in my JBA 2.5" lifted rear. Brought it up about 3/4" and now the rear is slightly higher than the front. Well worth the limited amount of time it took.

3. Tried to change the oil on my KK - well actually did change my oil, but the filter -- OMG, the people responsible for its placement should be disciplined. Access to the KK oil filter is horrible. After 2 trips to buy an oil filter end cap wrench and more extensions and U-joints for my socket wrench, I gave up in frustration. I don't have time right now to mess with something that stupid. Unbelievable a mass produced vehicle would have such horrible access to such a critical maintenance item. Looks like this fall I'll be digging into remote oil filter setups.

  I just love my oil filter

Any way, I now use a K&N oil filter because of the nut that is welded to the end. Makes it super super easy to break it loose

It's really not that hard, it's in the same place as the KJ. reach straight up from underneath, twist, and done!

Only reason it should be difficult is because some idiot overtightened it.

Hello all. This is my first post. I recently bought a new 2009 liberty. I have leased wranglers and liberties in the past but this is the first I own and will be the first I mod.

MtnLvr - I am thinking about the same lift and tires you have. Any rub issues? What offset are your wheels and have you modded the pinch weld?

Awesome mods. That's the perfect look in my opinion, not too much added, but just enough to make it clean and tuff looking. That's the style of wheel I wouldn't mind putting on my 09.
