You might have to bite the bullet and order a new one from the dealer. I will bring the tranny skid, it's still covered in motor oil from my "accident" during EJS. Do you need a t-case skid too?

Let's work around Durangotang's schedule (as usual).

Ben, do you want to meet in MOAB on 6/25?
What do you want to do about lodging?
Will you be alone or are you bringing...... her?
Do you want to help me install my RL sliders? I don't think it's hard, just a lot of drilling and help holding it up to bolt in.
Do you want to try a White Rim run?
If so, want to camp out there or try to do it all at once?

4Wheel, if I can get my new sliders on, do you want my Mopars? If so, you'll need to order the nutzerts from the dealer. I'm not sure if the sliders are all year compatible.
When could you be in MOAB (during 6/25- 6/28)?
What do you want to do for lodging?
Do you know the MOAB tradition that says noobs must buy dinner at Pasta Jays? It's not my rule but I would not want to be around someone who violates it.

Scout, can you make this? I realize we totally hijacked your thread.

Since I am now a man of leisure, I am flexible with my availability. I can stay Thursday through Sunday. In fact, I could just live down by the river indefinitely.

Sooooo.... I can be there on the 25th. Wouldn't be until the afternoon though.

JL:
- I would be more than happy to help with the sliders. I even have a right-angle drill you can use to make life easier.
-Not sure about lodging just yet... any good deals? Cheaper is better for me and I'm always down for tenting it.
- Not sure about Nicole... I'll give you fair warning if she's coming ;)
- White Rim sounds fun... and I dig the camping plan.
- Any chance you could bring your stuff to help me tune my CB and get it working?

Unfortunately, the hotels are all over $100 per night except for one @ $70 per night. Silver Sage Inn by all accounts is an uncomfortable dump. If your other half is coming, then there's no option for splitting a room. Since right now I'm running on my financial reserve tank, I have to be careful about spending.

I've never camped there before, what do you suggest? I did check the KOA site and they have no availability the other sites do not have on-line checking. I know that you've camped in the many trips you've taken this year that I wasn't invited to. I think that the campsites along 128 and Potash are all free and first come first serve correct? But there are no facilities and junk.

If we're to stay out on the trail in Canyonlands, we have to get a permit and reserve a site.

The ideal schedule I guess would be:

Thursday: Tweak n Tune camp somewhere
Friday: Head to White Rim camp on the trail
Sat: Head to Elephant Hill camp on the trail
Sun: Kisses and hugs and departure

The other option would be to stay in one site so we don't have to be breaking down and setting up all the time. This would also give us a night at Pasta Jays and maybe that Mexican place your GF made us go to that charges for refills. Can I leave it to your good judgement for camping? If we decide that the free BLM sites are the ticket, I can go down there early Thursday to stake claim.

I can bring my SWR meter so we can tune your antenna but we may need a priest to make your CB work. Is your drill electric?

OK I'll try to work out lodging... can you secure the permits for canyonlands?

Other answers.... Nicole has to work so it'll just be us.

Yes, my drill is electric so I'm trying to find an RV site or something that has a plug we can use.

I'll work on the permits yo. Dude from GA is OK with the dates and he's brining 2 kids. He has not got back to me about lodging yet. Since he's visiting from GA, I'm guessing he doesn't have camping gear with him.

I'll keep you updated on that.

I hope 4Wheel is OK, you know how I worry.

According to the 10 day:

High 90's during the day, High 60's at night
Isolated t storms Friday and Saturday so we have to be weary of flash floods.
Sunny Thurs and Sun

Im going to try to make it but Im cutting it close. I was supposed to leave for Colorado today but my little mud incident set me back. Im still trying to pack up my house and work out my divorce. Oh by the way Im now getting a divorce. Anyway my report date is the 30th. I still have to make it to Colorado, find a place, unpack, get the jeep ready, and try to make it out to Moab. By the way I do not have sliders or skids... Im pretty good at avoiding damage but if it gets a little harry are there by passes?

I would say that we should be ok as long as we play it safe with your Jeep. Most trails should be good though... no reason to miss out on the trip though.

BTW... where are you posting up in CO?

UPDATE: We hae a cabin reserved at the OK canpground the 25th, 26th, and 27th. The cabin sleeps 4 so everyone can crash there should we all decide to show up ;)

Durangotang, do you have a BFH? I took the MOPAR rails off today and noticed that the PS pinch weld is bent in one section. There's no way the template is going to sit flat the way it is now. It's going to need a little english to get straight again.

Yep... I'll bring the deadblow, mini sledge, sheet metal vice grips, and the 4' pry bar.... we'll straighten 'em out.

Got my new skid put on today... it's pure custom sweetness (see also: entirely overkill)

I'm leaving tomorrow AM to secure permits. Each permit is good for 3 rigs and cost $30. I'd like to know how many I should buy.
