I just did a 400 mile trip with the GDE Tune. This was from Sacramento to Fresno and back so very flat land with lots of traffic. Speeds were 60-70. I am lifted with all armor and 235x85 tires (32"). The evic read 34 mpg, best ever. I haven't calculated it by hand yet cause I still have over a quarter tank left before I fill up. Power is definitely increased. I noticed that the cruise seems different, it looks like it allows more movement in MPH before it downshifts. I will know better after my next trip.

I am leaving today on a 1500 mile plus trip towing 2500lbs across Donner pass and Nevada. I will update on how it handles the hills with the load. I usually cruise 60 in cali (its the law) and I'll try 75 across Nevada.

Excellent. I've noticed the same. Seems to lug a little more, not trying to downshift everytime I hit 43 MPH. I love it.

What have you done for a lift that you can fit 32's??

In the front I have the daystar spacer, I'm going to be switching to the frankenlift soon. The 235x85's fit with trimming, and they still rub a little. I might look into a wheel spacer or go 255 70's next time around. Its not too bad, it will be interesting to see if the frankelift makes it rub more.

By the way the daystars wore out my struts in a few months, I've been running without much dampening for a couple years now. Don't do the daystar spacers.

BCool,

Very astute observation. One of the GDE design parameters was to allow more speed variation than OEM when cruise control is engaged to improve mileage and avoid what end up seeming to be nonsensical downshifts.
